More about this plant
Flirt is a dwarf nandina only 1 to 2 feet high and 1.5 to 2 feet wide, low enough to work as a ground cover. New growth emerges deep red against evergreen mature foliage, and the whole plant reddens further through fall and winter. It does not flower. Plant it in part sun to shade with medium water in clay, loam or sand across a wide pH range with good drainage. Regular pruning is not needed, and it is deer, disease and pest resistant and water wise once established. Space plants 18 to 24 inches apart for borders, mass plantings, containers and low edging. All parts of nandina are poisonous if eaten.
- Full Shade
- Grows to 2 ft tall and 2 ft wide
- Blooms in spring
- Hardy in USDA zones 6-10
