More about this plant
Little Princess is a low growing Japanese spirea that naturally develops a tidy, compact, rounded form, carrying dainty clusters of rose pink blooms through summer against mint green leaves that turn red in fall. It wants full sun, water when the top two inches of soil dry, and good drainage in clay through rocky soil, and it is easy to maintain and rabbit resistant. Use it as an accent, a specimen or a low hedge in a sunny border. One caution matters: Clemson states that Japanese spirea is considered invasive in the Southeast US and that the species and its cultivars are not recommended as landscape plants.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 3 ft tall and 6 ft wide
- Blooms in summer
- Hardy in USDA zones 4-9
- Deciduous foliage
