More about this plant

Golden Mop is a slow growing dwarf false cypress forming a conical to rounded mound about 2 to 5 feet tall and wide, clothed in bright golden thread like foliage. The bark is reddish burgundy and exfoliates in peeling strips, and small cones ripen from green to brown. It grows in full sun to partial shade in clay, loam or sandy soil with good drainage that stays moist, tolerating acid to neutral pH and occasional dry spells, and is hardy from zone 4 through zone 8. Drought tolerant once established, it is used as a border plant, foundation planting, low hedge or specimen and suits Asian, cottage, rock and winter gardens.
