More about this plant
An Aromi hybrid deciduous azalea from a cross involving Rhododendron canescens, bred by Dr. Eugene Aromi for heat and humidity tolerance in southern gardens. Fragrant soft pink flowers open in large, full, rounded trusses that cover the plant in mid to late spring, and the foliage turns yellow to brown in autumn. Grow it in part shade to part sun, since the foliage may scorch in full sun, in an acid, humus rich, well drained soil around pH 5.2 to 5.8 that stays consistently moist. It reaches about 6 to 8 feet tall by 4 to 5 feet wide.
