More about this plant

An Aromi hybrid deciduous azalea raised by Dr. Eugene Aromi from a pale yellow Rhododendron austrinum crossed with the Knap Hill hybrid 'Golden Sunset'. It carries large yellow flowers flushed orange on the petal tips and tubes in spring, and is described as vigorous and easier to grow than most yellow deciduous azaleas. Give it plenty of organic matter and good drainage, an acid soil around pH 5.2 to 5.8, and morning sun with afternoon shade. It may reach 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide in ten years and suits a woodland edge or naturalized shade garden.
