More about this plant
An upright evergreen viburnum that opens hundreds of pink, trumpet shaped flowers with a spicy honey scent in late winter and early spring, well before most shrubs start. The leathery green leaves take on dramatic purple burgundy tones in cool weather, and the plant is heat tolerant and resists deer and rabbits. It performs best with some sun exposure in well drained soil, and works as a border plant, a screen, a mass planting or a specimen. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers, which also cut well.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 10 ft tall and 5 ft wide
- Blooms in winter, spring
- Hardy in USDA zones 7-8
- Evergreen foliage
