More about this plant
A seedless rose of Sharon, upright and deciduous at 8 to 12 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide, whose dark purple blooms with contrasting deep red centers persist from summer into fall. Being seedless it eliminates the invasive seed dispersal common to other roses of Sharon, and it needs no deadheading. Green three lobed leaves turn gold in fall. It grows in full sun with low water needs and good drainage, tolerates heat and drought, resists deer and rabbits, and attracts bees and hummingbirds. Use it as a border plant, a screen, a mass planting or a focal point.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 12 ft tall and 8 ft wide
- Blooms in summer, fall
- Hardy in USDA zones 5-9
