More about this plant
A seedless rose of Sharon growing upright 8 to 12 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide with graceful branching, bearing large orchid pink to lavender blooms with prominent red centers through early, mid and late summer. Because it does not set seed it avoids the self seeding that troubles other roses of Sharon. Green three lobed leaves turn gold in fall. It is easy to grow in full sun with average water, tolerates heat and salt, resists deer and attracts pollinators. Use it in mixed borders, as a hedge or as a specimen. NCSU records the species as non toxic to cats, dogs and horses.
