More about this plant
Easy as Pie is a deciduous bush cherry growing 3 to 4 and a half feet tall and wide with light bright green foliage and white flowers in spring, followed by showy tart berries good for baking, preserves or eating fresh. It is self fertile, so no pollinator plant is necessary, though it needs at least 700 and perhaps up to 1000 chill hours. Give it full sun and average water, and space plants 36 to 54 inches apart so each shrub gets plenty of air and sunshine. Deadheading is not necessary. Use it as a border plant, a container specimen, in mass plantings or as a focal point; it is hardy from zone 3 through zone 8.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 4.5 ft tall and 4.5 ft wide
- Blooms in spring
- Hardy in USDA zones 3-8
- Deciduous foliage
