More about this plant

A vigorous, bushy sasanqua camellia carrying glossy, leathery dark green leaves 1 to 3 inches long on slender reddish young stems. Large formal double flowers of bright pink open early in the season, giving colour through fall and into winter. It grows best in partial shade sheltered from full sun and drying wind, in a moist, well drained soil rich in organic matter and slightly acid. The dense growth makes it useful as an informal hedge, a screen, a foundation shrub or a large container specimen.
