More about this plant
A fast growing, multi stemmed rounded shrub about 5 feet tall and wide, valued for large pink globe shaped flower clusters edged in blue from mid summer through early fall. The forest green, glossy, pointed leaves are coarse in texture and have no appreciable fall colour, and the habit tends to be slightly leggy with roughly a foot of clearance at the ground. It does best in full sun to partial shade, out of hot dry afternoon sun, in evenly moist, well drained, acidic soil. Use it as an accent, in mass plantings, as a hedge or screen, or in a container, and cut the blooms for arrangements.
- Part Shade
- Grows to 5 ft tall and 5 ft wide
- Blooms in summer, fall
- Hardy in USDA zones 5-9
- Deciduous foliage
