More about this plant
An upright panicle hydrangea of roughly 6 to 8 feet tall and wide that blooms about a month before any other panicle hydrangea, usually by early July in the breeder's West Michigan trials. The flowers open pure white, shift to light pink, and deepen to a dark rosy pink by fall, while the foliage turns gold and burgundy in autumn. It needs part sun to sun with at least four hours of light and grows in most soils as long as they drain, on average moisture. Because it blooms on new wood it can be cut back by about a third in early spring and still flower, and it works as a specimen, a screen or hedge, or for fresh and dried cut flowers.
- Full Sun
- Grows to 8 ft tall and 8 ft wide
- Blooms in summer, fall
- Hardy in USDA zones 3-9
- Deciduous foliage
