More about this plant
Emerald Colonnade is a male, non-fruiting hybrid holly that holds a naturally pyramidal, densely foliated form to about 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide. Glossy bright green evergreen leaves take shearing well, which makes it a favourite for formal hedges, privacy screens, containers and topiary. Small cream coloured flowers appear in spring but no berries follow. Give it full sun and a light, well drained, acidic soil, water when the top two inches are dry, and prune to shape in winter.
