More about this plant
A Southern Indica hybrid azalea that grows into a large, vigorous, upright spreading evergreen shrub with dense green foliage. Large single flowers about 3 inches across open early to mid spring in white flushed with orchid pink and marked by a magenta blotch, and they are so plentiful they can hide the foliage. It is noted for heat and sun tolerance for an azalea but still prefers dappled sun or high open shade, or morning sun with afternoon shade, in acid, organically rich, moisture retentive but well drained soil around pH 5.0 to 5.5. Use it as a backdrop shrub, an informal screen, or in mass plantings and woodland gardens.
- Part Shade
- Grows to 10 ft tall and 10 ft wide
- Blooms in spring
- Hardy in USDA zones 8-10
- Evergreen foliage
