More about this plant
An upright, full and densely branched Encore azalea about 4.5 feet tall by 4 feet wide that grows fast and keeps a tidy outline. The single flowers are about 3 inches across, white brushed and striped with purple, with the occasional solid purple bloom for contrast, and they come in generous clusters in a heavy spring flush with reliable repeats through summer and fall over dark green glossy evergreen leaves. Give it 4 to 6 hours of direct sun, best as morning sun with afternoon shade in hotter or reflective sites, and acid soil around pH 5 to 6 that is well drained and evenly moist. Plant slightly high, mulch 2 to 3 inches, feed in early spring and prune after the spring flowering.
