More about this plant
A compact, mounding Encore azalea with dense branching, about 3 feet tall by 3.5 feet wide and naturally tidy enough to need little pruning. The semi-double flowers are bicolor, roughly 2.5 inches across, with coral pink centers and bold white margins that stand out against the dark evergreen foliage, and they bloom profusely in spring then repeat through summer and fall. Give it 4 to 6 hours of direct sun, with morning sun and afternoon shade ideal in hotter locations, and acid, well drained soil, planting slightly high to prevent waterlogging. Mulch 2 to 3 inches and feed in early spring, avoiding feeding after August. Once established it is relatively drought tolerant.
