More about this plant

An upright, rounded and well branched Encore azalea reaching about 5 feet tall by 4 feet wide, tall enough for background plantings and foundation lines. Pure white semi-double ruffled flowers about 2.5 inches across, dusted yellow in the throat, open strongly in spring and repeat into summer and fall over light green evergreen foliage. It needs 4 to 6 hours of direct sun, with morning sun and afternoon shade ideal in hotter locations, and acid soil around pH 5 to 6 that drains well. Keep it consistently moist while establishing and mulch 2 to 3 inches; once established it shows strong drought tolerance. Prune immediately after the spring flowering to preserve the later buds.
