More about this plant
Coral Bells is a Kurume hybrid azalea with bright coral pink hose in hose blooms about an inch across, one whorl of petals nested inside another, carried so thickly in early to mid spring that they blanket the foliage. It is a low, dense evergreen shrub, listed at 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide by Colesville Nursery and capable of six feet tall and wide over time according to Arkansas Extension. Azaleas need an acid soil pH of around 5.5 and really good drainage, so plant it in raised or mounded beds of sphagnum peat moss or aged pine bark in shade to partial sun.
