More about this plant

Autumn Prince is a very late ripening freestone peach released by the University of Georgia for the Southeast, ripening about 45 days after Elberta and extending the harvest well into fall. The fruit is juicy and firm with a crimson red blush over a yellowish red ground and a slightly acidic flavour. The tree is vigorous and productive with low susceptibility to bacterial spot, and it is self fertile. Like all peaches it grows fast to a rounded, spreading 15 to 25 feet, opens showy fragrant pink flowers before leaf out in spring, and needs full sun, well drained slightly acidic soil and regular pruning. It requires roughly 750 to 800 chilling hours. The seeds are poisonous and dropped fruit is messy.
